Abstract art completely shook the foundations of Western art. In the early part of the 20th century, it rejected the supremacy of clear and undisputed shapes; instead, it presented the viewer with vibrant visual poems defined by allegories of emotion and sensation, stripped clean of conventional representational depictions. This radical creative exploration brought forth new artistic mediums just as much as new forms of narrative. The mode of expression came to be defined by the striking juxtaposition of tone, luminosity, and contour. Creators turned away from the established traditions of the paintbrush and easel to experiment with fresh materials and physical approaches to making art: they turned to commercial paints and house-painting brushes, made work on unprimed and unstretched canvases, shifted the canvas down onto the floor, and spread the pigment using their bare hands. Özellikle uzun süre kullanılmayacak filmleri buzdolabında saklamak, ömürlerini uzatabilir. Ancak filmi kullanmadan önce buzdolabından çıkartıp oda sıcaklığına ulaşmasını bekleyin. Ani sıcaklık değişiklikleri filmin üzerinde yoğunlaşma yapabilir.
